Christian Borzi Bozzetto - Sketching of the Human Figure in Clay 2-Day Workshop
Workshop Overview
This workshop is intended for the beginner to experience an easy method of creating a Maquette or bozzetto of a human figure.
Working with wet clay on the first day we will utilize the Greek cannon of 8 heads and important land marks on the body to create our figurine allowing us to learn proportions quickly and easily. No prior knowledge needed as we will walk through the process step by step. The figure will be in a reclining or sitting pose so no armatures will be required. The use of a model will help us to visualize and capture a pose.
The focus in this workshop will be on creating a figure and capturing the energy of a pose rather than bringing the work to the conclusion of a finished sculpture piece.
You will need clay so go to the section called Supplies, then clay and order a box of
SIO-2® PRAI White Stoneware Clay with Impalpable Grog, 27.6 lb
