2026 Fall Session
*Beginner & Intermediate* Sculpting Class overview
Figure Sculpting Workshop – Beginner Friendly
Discover the fundamentals of figurative sculpture in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. Over the course of the program, you’ll learn essential sculpting techniques focused on proportions, gesture, and structure, guiding you step-by-step as you build a standing figure from the armature up.
Giving you the opportunity to study anatomy, weight distribution, and natural rhythm directly from life.
Materials & Tools
All participants will work with NSP Chavant oil-based clay, a professional, non-drying material that will not crack—ideal for detailed figure work.
Completed sculptures cannot be fired, but can be kept as long-term reference pieces or used for future mold-making.
A $50 materials fee covers the armature and back-stand required for your sculpture. Students are encouraged to bring a micro cloth for cleaning hands and a small knife for refining forms along with any other sculpting tools they may own.
Since we are hiring a live model, the cost of this session will be higher to pay for the models fees.
